What to do when your lips are constantly dry and chapped?

Do you need lip sunscreen all year round?

Yes! UV rays are active all year round, even on cloudy days and in the winter months. Because the skin on your lips is thinner and contains less melanin, which provides natural sun protection, than other parts of your body, they are more vulnerable. Repeated exposure to UV rays can cause premature aging and even increase the risk of skin cancer on your lips. Sun, dry air and wind can also make them more sensitive or chapped. To protect your lips, use a lip balm with SPF and reapply it every two hours.
